10 Crazy Facts About Porn That Will Blow More Than Just Your Mind

1. Women are hotter and dirtier than you think.

Think that guys get aroused by anything and everything? It’s actually the other way around. In a Northwestern University, a control group of men and women watched videos of nude actors masturbating, exercising or having sex. The straight guys got turned on by the women, the gay guys got turned on by other men, but for women? Things got a bit fuzzy. Even if they weren’t in the mood, straight women experienced high levels of arousal after viewing any form of sexual stimuli, whether that be guy-on-guy or girl-on-girl action.

2. When men watch porn, the body part they pay most attention to is the woman’s . . . face.

That’s right, no matter how appealing her breasts and bum might be, that’s not where guys’ attention is focused. An eye-tracking study from the Kinsey Institute found that guys tend to focus more on porn stars’ faces to gauge how turned on they are.

3. Humans watch a lot of porn.

At any one second throughout the day, almost 30 million unique visitors are watching porn. So when you’re lying around the house and getting down to business, remember: you aren’t alone.

4. We’re not entirely sure how porn affects a man’s relationships.

Assessing how porn affects a man’s love life is extremely difficult because, well, just about everyone watches porn. A researcher from the University of Montreal tried undertaking a study of a group of men in their twenties who don’t watch porn, and yep, you guessed it – he couldn’t find a single one.

5. The porn industry is rich. Filthy rich.

The porn industry is up there with the wealthiest in the world, making more money than the NFL, NBA and MLB combined, and more than all the major news US networks combined.

6. Australians really love their porn.

It appears Australians are pretty avid porn viewers, ranking number eight on a worldwide traffic scale. The average Australian porn session lasts for nine minutes and 33 seconds, with the most popular searched phrases consisting of “lesbian”, “teen” and “MILF”.

7. We’re exposed to the hot stuff very early.

A study from the University of Montreal has found that most guys are exposed to porn for the first time at the age of 10. With technology advancing and more and more children learning how to operate phones and computers, you’d have to think the average is only going to drop.

8. Males earn less bang for their buck.

Being a male in the porn industry may seem like the dream job every guy wants, but male porn performers actually don’t make that much compared with their female counterparts. However, they can make as much as three times more money if they choose to perform in gay porn.

9. A large number of people watch porn at work.

What? Actually? Surprisingly yes. Sex Tracker’s findings reveal that 70 per cent of all porn watched is watched between the work hours of 9am and 5pm. A co-worker consistently ducking out of the office? Now you know what they’re up to.

10. We can’t get enough of it.

We love it, we embrace it, some even spend their hard earned money on it. However, sometimes it gets too much. Another study from the Kinsey Institute found that 10 per cent of adults admit to legitimately having an online porn addiction.
