How To Do The New 40 FWD Fitness Challenge?

Can you handle the new 40 FWD fitness challenge?

The days of 75Hard and 75Soft are over. 40 FWD is the new challenge that is just as hard, but more achievable

FINDING A GOOD challenge is one of the easiest ways to revitalise your fitness routine. The big ones are well known – HYROX is blowing up at the moment, 75Hard is the classic, and 75Soft is its little brother – but there are a number of reasons why they don’t work for some people. For starters, challenges like 75Hard and HYROX aren’t something the average person can easily do with no prior training. It’s also difficult to get hyped about a challenge that literally has ‘soft’ in its name, as is the case with 75Soft.

Thankfully, a new alternative has emerged – the 40 FWD challenge. Created by supplement and wellness brand FWD FRM, the challenge runs for 40 days and requires its partakers to consistently show up, push past their limits and prove what’s possible when you commit. Take a look at the daily requirements below.

How can you do the 40 FWD challenge?

To complete the 40 FWD challenge, you will have to do the following for 40 consecutive days.

  • 4km Run/Walk
  • 40 Burpees
  • 40 Push Ups
  • 40 Air Squats
  • 40 Crunches

There’s no room for excuses, either. If you miss a day, the clock resets and you’ll have to start your 40 days over again.

How can you join the 40 FWD challenge?

To sign up for the 40 FWD challenge, head to fwdfrm.com and enter your details. Signing up is completely free.

Once you sign up, you’ll be invited to join a free app with a community forum, so you can follow along with other 40 FWD devotees. In the app, you’ll  also find a daily checklist to mark off as you complete each task – a form of self-accountability. FWD FRM owners Scott and Elle will be active in the forums making sure people are completing their tasks and logging their kilometres.

Is the 40 FWD challenge worth it?

Truthfully, any challenge that improves your health and fitness is worth it, but 40 FWD especially so. It requires all the effort of some of the more well known fitness challenges, but it’s actually doable. More than 1,000 people have already taken on the challenge and achieved impressive results. It’s the kind of thing that could kickstart a healthier lifestyle, all it takes is a decision to start and some determination to stick with it.
