According to their research, using a calorie calculator, dancing video games just might be the secret to staying in shape, burning 240 calories in just 30 minutes. Gardening also proved an effective method – felling trees and chopping wood burned 177 and 150 calories respectively. 

Other chores such as cleaning and washing the car also made the list while DIY projects also did a job on you.
