Musician John Legend has been named People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2019. The American, who is married to model Chrissy Tiegen, was thrilled to accept the honour but admits he finds it difficult to compare himself to former winner Idris Elba.
Speaking to the magazine, Legend says he “was excited, but I was a little scared at the same time because it’s a lot of pressure.
“Everyone’s going to be picking me apart to see if I’m sexy enough to hold this title. I’m [also] following Idris Elba, which is not fair and is not nice to me!”
Understandably while Legend was thrilled with the new title, it was wife Tiegen who was lapping up the announcement.
Taking to twitter, the former Sports Illustrated cover girl reminded fans that she’s sleeping with Legend.
Tiegen shared the news with the caption: “My secret is out. I have fulfilled my dream of having boned @people‘s sexiest man alive!! an honour!!!!!”
She also thanked fans who congratulated her on the sex
After a series of tweets, Tiegen decided it was time to make things more official. Her next move? Changing her bio to “de-motivational speaker currently sleeping with people’s sexiest man alive”
Previous winners of the award include Australian good guy Hugh Jackman.
