Nearly a year after the event, Katy Perry has finally cleared the air concerning those paddle boarding photos with her ex and Men’s Health US former cover guy, Orlando Bloom. You know, the ones showing Perry sitting on the front of a paddleboard and Bloom on the back casually paddling the two along, showing off his abs—and everything else.

While Bloom has already laughed the situation off, this is the first time we’ve heard Perry’s side of the story. Let’s just say that, based on Bloom’s history, we aren’t that shocked by what she had to say.

According to the Daily Mail, Perry just opened up about the incident, which took place last August during the couple’s vacation in Sardinia, while on an Australian radio show. Apparently, Bloom was trying to persuade Perry to get naked as well. But Perry said she just was not feeling it at the time. “He asked me if I wanted to be [naked] and I was just like, ‘Oh, nah,'” she said.

Perry later said that she elected to save the nudity for their private yacht. Lifestyles of the rich and famous, eh.

The singer also joked that Bloom’s motivation for stripping down was to “show off for all the people back at the shore”.

Perry also said that, at the time, she was teaching the Lord of the Rings actor about Twitter. The photo led to Bloom becoming the number one trending topic on Twitter. “All of a sudden, he’s like number one trending on Twitter, and he’s like, ‘I understand Twitter, it’s okay.'”
