May Netflix Highlight – The Four Seasons, season 2
Imagine if all your favourite comedians were best buddies and went on vacations together all around the world, and you could be a fly on the wall during their shenanigans. Well, you don’t have to imagine it, because that’s the premise of The Four Seasons, which is coming back for a second season. Tina Fey, Steve Carell, Colman Domingo, Will Forte, Kerri Kenney-Silver, Marco Calvani and Erika Henningsen are the aforementioned members of the gang – and while we don’t want to spoil anything in case you haven’t seen season one, one of these friends won’t be returning. Season two will feature a similar setup, with the cast visiting various holiday destinations while confronting their relationship troubles and the realities of getting older.
Also on Netflix, if you’re still mourning the death of Stranger Things, you’ll find a replacement with a similar vibe in The Boroughs. It’s also a sci-fi mystery set in a small town, and it even has the Stranger Things creators serving as executive producers. But it swaps out a group of kids for a group of retirees.
Netflix will also welcome a new documentary series about the final season of Rafael Nadal’s career, as well as 2025 films Mickey 17 and Bugonia, which are making their streaming debuts.

May Disney+ Highlight – The Punisher: One Last Kill
The Punisher is getting a one-off special movie. It will follow a similar formula as the series and Daredevil: Born Again, with Jon Bernthal’s Punisher attempting to live a quieter life, only to be drawn back into vigilanteism after an unexpected conflict is sparked.
Also coming to Disney+ in May is the fifth season of Welcome to Wrexham, which will follow the team’s first season in the EFL championship as they fight for promotion to the Premier League. Then, for the Star Wars fans wondering how they’ll spend this year’s May the fourth, the final two episodes of Maul – Shadow Lord come out on the sacred day.

The finale of the fifth and final season of The Boys is set to premiere on May 20th. As for new content, Spider-Noir is Prime Video’s headliner for May. Starring Nicolas Cage as a version of the superhero we haven’t seen in live action before, Spider-Noir follows a private investigator/secret Spider-Man in 1930s New York.
Then there’s a new Jack Ryan film, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan: Ghost War. John Krasinski played the character throughout the four season series, but this is the first time he’s done so in a film. The premise is familiar: an international covert mission uncovers a conspiracy, and Ryan must stop a rogue black-ops unit.
Given the current climate of book adaptations, it might be worth keeping an eye on Off Campus. Based on the bestselling book series of the same name, it follows an elite collegiate hockey team and their WAGs as they find love, heartbreak, and ultimately, themselves.
