RUNNING, AS YOU may have noticed, is having a moment. Not since the ’70s, when American running icon, Steve Prefontaine, inspired the masses to lace up, have so many of us been compelled to collectively pound pavements, hit trails, join run clubs and sign up for fun runs, marathons and ultras.
Who better then, to head up our second annual digital running issue, than the man who’s perhaps done the most to inspire Aussies to get off our arses and hit the roads and trails, PUMA athlete, Nedd Brockmann. Taking on ever more formidable feats of endurance, the former sparky’s cover story contains a powerful message on the value of reaching beyond your grasp. We also hear from Olympic 1500m finalist and coach, Ryan Gregson, try out the new PUMA Velocity NITRO 4 and look back on the year’s best running shoes in our annual Sneaker Awards.
Wherever you are on your running journey, you’re sure to find something here to help you take that all-important next step.
