Global spirit brand Southern Comfort and Sydney-based lifestyle brand Barney Cools have teamed up to launch a limited-edition clothing range in Australia.

Influenced by laid back Aussie vibes and the charm of America’s South, the two will launch an extensive clothing line featuring three hat designs, ‘Gator’ tees and ‘party’ shirts.

This comes following a recent trip to New Orleans, where co-founder of Barney Cools, Nat Taubman, had a light-bulb moment inspired by the city’s character.

“After our first trip to NOLA recently, we had a eureka moment that we had to share with Aussies,” so it was perfect, says Taubman.

“The culture over there was so unique. It’s all about freedom of expression, inclusivity, southern hospitality and a never-ending good time. Southern Comfort embodies these qualities and it’s brand home is NOLA.”

“Just like Southern Comfort is the perfect blend of whiskey and spice, we’re blending Southern Comfort with the spice of a great Aussie brand,” adds Southern Comfort Senior Brand manager James Johnstone.

“Our Barney Cools partnership allows us to bring the Spirit of New Orleans to consumers with an Aussie twist.”

The range is set to be released this month but for a sneak peak, checkout the Southern Comfort Instagram
