A few weeks ago, BOSS announced “a long-term partnership” and a standalone capsule collection with 25-year-old Matteo Berrettini.
The tennis super star, who’s now a global ambassador for the German fashion house “on and off the court” tells Men’s Health over Zoom that it’s the first time BOSS has linked with a tennis player – which is not a seriously cool brag, but also makes complete sense, since few of his predecessors have had quite the same model looks.

Alongside Berrettini’s role as an ambassador, his capsule collection with the brand – BOSS X MATTEO BERRETTINI – will be introduced for summer 2022, with the line encompassing both bold active designs, as well as off-court essentials. Think sleek style and modern silhouettes in the form high-performance shorts and polos. They work on and off-court (pair the contemporary t-shirt with a hood and casual pants for a laid back look) and emulate Matteo himself – stylish, practical, and sustainable.
“I have always been a fan of BOSS and it’s an honour to collaborate with such a powerhouse fashion brand – one that is at the top of its game when it comes to style and technical expertise. I’m particularly proud to have the opportunity to give back to the Italian community with each sale from our capsule collection supporting underprivileged children in Italy. I can’t wait to make a positive impact through our partnership,” he explains.

For Berrettini, that iconic effortless Italian style comes naturally – all you have to do is take one look at his Instagram page and you’ll understand why he’s one of the most stylish men in the sport. And why BOSS were open to working so closely with him on the collection.
We ask Berrettini if he’s as much of a perfectionist with his wardrobe as he with a racket in his hand. “Yeah,” he chuckles. “You know, dress up with my girlfriend when we go out for dinner . . . even dinner is like a party in these COVID times. But yeah, I like to have a lot of clothes and that is why I bring always big suitcases.”
