Do you love to run? And are you competitive? Well, thanks to Under Armour’s global initiative – the ALL OUT MILE – you now have the chance to virtually race against hundred of people from 14 countries across the globe, to see who can run a mile (approximately 1.6km) faster than any other.
Doubling regional participation from last year’s challenge, the event will not just ask teams and individuals to take on a 30-day mission to train for the event, but will provide you with all the support you need to smash your PB. From inspiration to perspiration the event provides the motivation, the coaching, and the training plan to run your fastest mile by hooking participants up with training routines and workouts from UA’s elite coaches, athletes, and Human Performance experts.
How does it work?
Join the UA ALL OUT MILE for free by following three simple steps. Registration is open from now until 11:59pm on June 5, 2022. Here’s how to register:
1. Join: Sign up in the FitRankings leaderboard.
2. Link: Link your UA MapMyRun account with FitRankings for automatic results uploads.
3. Race: Race your 1-mile (1609m) with UA MapMyRun as many times as you want during the competition window (June 1 – June 5). Your fastest result will automatically appear on the official leaderboard.
Where is the Aussie event?
Sydney will play host to the first Australian UA All Out Mile live event, to be held at the iconic Sydney Cricket Ground from 5:00pm-9:00pm on June 1. The event will be a celebration of the running community and free and open to the public to attend to lay down their fastest mile, as well as enjoy music and entertainment. If you can’t make it to Syd – not to worry – you can still join the event as a virtual participant.
Giving back
Being in sports at a young age leaves an impression that sets our youth up for a brighter future, that’s why Under Armour will be awarding the top teams in the “Most Milers” competition with a $10,000 monetary donation back to the non-profit organisation of their choice. All designated charities must have a connection to increasing access and opportunity for all young athletes in support of UA’s Access to Sport initiative.
How do I win?
Prizes will be awarded to the top performers in each region. Australia is part of the South-Asia / Pacific Region.
1.Fastest individuals
The 3 fastest Women and Men milers from each region will receive: $1000, $500, $250 respectively, plus $250 in UA gear each. All in USD.
2. Team competition: most milers
The team in each region with the MOST participants to run the UA ALL OUT MILE will WIN A $10,000 USD donation to the youth sports charity of their choice.
Gear Up
To push your race pace, you need a lighter, grippier running shoe. UA Flow Velociti Wind 2 dropped the rubber to help you run faster. Plus, everyone who registers for All Out Mile will receive a 20% discount. Check out underarmour.com.au to find the right running shoes and gear to beat your best.
While there’s still plenty of time to register, you might want to start getting your training plan in order and getting access to the abundance of support available, whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned runner.
Then get registered, get training, and get excited!
