If there’s one thing we’ve come to learn about Chris Hemsworth, it’s that this is an actor who is perpetually shredded. Where others tend to pack on the muscle, lean out or get in the best shape of their life solely for the purposes of a character to be portrayed on screen, Hemsworth isn’t one to let his workout routine slide post-filming. Instead, he permanently exists in a gym-honed body, boasting the kind of physique most require CGI and padded superhero costumes to achieve.
Lately though, Hemsworth has been upping the ante when it comes to fitness. He’s in the best shape of his life, packing on more muscle to realistically portray wrestling icon Hulk Hogan in a biopic in addition to his role as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s upcoming sequel Love and Thunder. And if all that wasn’t enough, he’s also set to reprise the role of the mercenary Tyler Rake in Extraction 2. It goes without saying that Hemsworth already has the kind of lifestyle that revolves around healthy eating and intense workouts, but just what does it look like when you’re devoted to seeing progress even after achieving so much?
Recently, Hemsworth travelled around the world for a new documentary series Limitless, a series in which he learns how to live the happiest, healthiest and longest life possible. All of this is to say the man knows the importance of being active and eating well, and he’s intent on sharing that passion with his followers and fans alike.
It’s for this reason that we regularly see Hemsworth being put through a punishing workout by his trainer, Luke Zocchi. Working to remove the barrier to exercise and fitness that many face in terms of cost and equipment, Hemsworth often uses pantry staples or body weight, proving that you can still break a sweat and see results even with limited resources available.
In a new social media post, Hemsworth treated his fans to a workout that will be sure to test you. This upper body workout will certainly see your arms put through a challenge and as Hemsworth wrote on Instagram, “Get ready for the gun show folks.”
He added, “See if you can get through 10 rounds of this functional upper body burner. It’s going to set your arms on fire and help you achieve legendary status next time you rock a tank top booooom”
Here’s the full workout. Be sure to perform each round a total of 10 times, with 1 minute of rest in between.
