Chris Meloni Reveals He Only Ever Works Out Naked, And Of Course He Does

We should clarify that the actor only works out in the buff when he’s working out at home.

Christopher Meloni might have needed the word “zaddy” explaining to him during his Men’s Health cover story in 2021, but since then he has proudly taken the mantle and ran with it, reveling in the thirst that he can still elicit from the internet at age 61.

Just last week, the actor showed off how limber he is by casually doing the splits on the set of Law & Order: Organized Crime. And now, in an interview with People at the NBCUniversal Upfronts, Meloni took the thirst-trapping to the next level by disclosing that when he works out at home, he is always nude.

“I work out naked,” he said. “It’s my gym… I can do whatever I want.” He added: “And I don’t black out the window. And I’m okay with that. My wife is not.”

Meloni went on to say that birthday suit home workouts aside, when he is out at a gym he is “very serious” about it, and wears noise-canceling headphones to block out any distractions. “We’ll hit the gym, but you know, I’m not to be spoken to,” he said. “It’s like interrupting a monk when he’s in the middle of his monk-ing.”

The Law & Order star also revealed his top gym gripe: bad equipment etiquette. “People don’t put the weights away, and I’m OCD,” he said. “I’m like, how hard is it?” He joked that he has even got into the habit of putting the weights away for other people. No wonder he prefers to work out at home, where the only equipment he has to worry about is his own.
