All the biggest Hublot releases from Watches & Wonders ‘24

The Swiss watchmaker’s weekend was highlighted by the announcement of revamped additions to the MP Tourbillon and Unico collections and a visit from frenetic French footballer Kylian Mbappé

WATCHES & WONDERS draws premier watchmakers from across the globe, but few understand the essence of haute horlogerie quite like Hublot. As such, the expectations heaped upon one of the most respected watchmaking houses making an appearance in Geneva at this year’s event were always going to be high. Hublot was up to the challenge, however, meeting those expectations with a number of captivating unveilings – or shall we say, big bangs.

Hublot’s flagship model, the Big Bang, has taken many forms over the years. Since debuting in 2005, the watches from the collection have been bestsellers, drawing praise for their dynamic mixing of materials and vibrant colourways. Big Bang watches range from eminently sporty to understatedly refined – and the latest developments in the vaunted line have just been revealed.

Firstly, Hublot’s Integrated Time Only series is receiving an update, with six new additions. The Integrated Time Only edition of the Big Bang is distinguished from its relatives by its tamer approach to colouring and material experimentation, with a slightly smaller 40mm case and integrated bracelet. The result is a line of sophisticated contemporary classics, which is welcoming six newcomers.

Over the weekend at Watches & Wonders, Hublot revealed six new Big Bang Integrated Time Only watches to be released in 2024. All six are smaller than their predecessors, with 38mm cases. Two come in exclusive king gold material, two more are in polished titanium with black or blue dials, and the final pairing utilise Hublot’s signature ceramics and come in black or blue. See the full range below.

The Big Bang MP-11 14-Day Power Reserve also received a new variation of its sapphire palette. Featuring the MP-11’s standard sculptural seven-barrel movement and barely believable two-week power reserve, the manufacture timepiece comes in a new colour – translucent water blue.

Elsewhere, Hublot’s collaboration with Swiss tattoo artist Maxime Plescia-Buchi is still going strong, with a new addition to the Spirit of Big Bang Sang Bleu collection – and for the first time, it comes in transparent sapphire. The new watch features Plescia-Buchi’s venerated postmodern three-dimensional design for which the collection is known, in an innovative display of horological geometry. For all its creativity, the Spirit of Big Bang Sang Bleu Sapphire maintains a traditional 42mm case and barrel-shaped dial – grounding a watch that has flair in spades.

Now for the highlight of the weekend, superstar footballer Kylian Mbappé’s surprise appearance. Mbappé is an ambassador for Hublot and was in Geneva for the brand’s reveal of the official watch of the 2024 UEFA European Football Championship – the Big Bang E UEFA Euro 2024.

In the style that has typified Big Bang watches, the Big Bang E UEFA Euro 2024 is bold, vibrant and undeniably wearable. The watch’s 44mm titanium case frames a signature sandwich construction. While its scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and the kaleidoscopic colours of the Euro 2024 logo complete the lively palette.

Last of all, we have a unique exclusive from Hublot, the Big Bang Unico Ice Bang. Remaining faithful to preeminent Big Bang models, the Ice Bang is equipped with a Unico movement and only 100 of the limited-edition pieces are available. The Ice Bang epitomises new vintage, with a matte black dial, a self-winding flyback chronograph movement with its HUB1280 Manufacture calibre, and a dependable 72-hour power reserve. For a visually striking appearance, numerals and mechanics are superimposed and combined in an evocative two-tone design. Truly, Watches & Wonders 2024 was one to remember for Hublot.
