Ronaldo's WHOOP Partnership Is Game Changing

Ronaldo’s WHOOP partnership could be a fitness game changer

Discover how CR7's collaboration with the fitness tracker and the embrace of analytical health data more broadly is changing the landscape in personal fitness

THE REALM OF FITNESS TECHNOLOGY is experiencing an explosion, and at the forefront stands none other than Cristiano Ronaldo, the epitome of physical prowess. With a physique reminiscent of a Greek god, or perhaps more aptly, a Portuguese deity, Ronaldo has been rocking the cutting-edge WHOOP 4.0 band. And now, it’s been announced that CR7 has signed on as the wearable tech company’s newest global ambassador and investor.

It’s a good fit. CR7 personifies health and fitness. The man has been one of the world’s premier athletes for two decades. On the brink of 40, Ronaldo has a rig most of us can only dream about, but if you keep up with his life, as many adoring fans do, you’ll know that his chiselled body isn’t some manufactured miracle. Hard work, dedication and sacrifice are his central pillars, and with the WHOOP 4.0 on his wrist, the Manchester United, Real Madrid, and now Al Nassr footballing legend seems poised to further fortify these foundations.

Ronaldo recently spoke with WHOOP founder and CEO Will Ahmed about how his love for the fitness band transcends into his athletic endeavours.

“I cannot live without WHOOP. It is a fantastic tool that has helped me a lot to be a better man, a better person, and a better athlete. Discipline is the most difficult thing, not only in sports but also in life.”

WHOOP unveiled Ronaldo’s 90-day fitness averages, revealing some staggering results. With a heart rate of 43.39 BPM, an average daily strain of 14.9 over the same period, and a sleep performance of 81%, the numbers don’t lie. Approaching 40, the arguable football ‘GOAT’ seems to be only getting better, reflecting his unwavering commitment to his health and fitness regimen.

Ronaldo’s endorsement adds to the credibility of the WHOOP 4.0 band, which is already backed by a growing list of global ambassador investors, including Patrick Mahomes, Michael Phelps, Eli Manning, Rory McIlroy, and more.

WHOOP is striving to expand its footprint in the realm of health metrics and human performance, an arena currently driven by giants like Apple, Samsung, and Fitbit. Where WHOOP distinguishes itself is in prioritising fundamental health tracking, data precision, and privacy over modern amenities like notifications, email, phone calls, and high-definition screens.

We at Men’s Health Australia have jumped on board the data-driven drip. While our lives may not mirror the athletic oddessies of CR7, we gave it the WHOOP 4.0 a serious whirl, exploring its features and the depth of its tracking and data. Check out our review here.
