What to stream in July 2025: Netflix, Disney+, Max, Amazon Prime + more

Can't decide what to watch in July? Don't stress, and stop wasting your time scrolling because Men's Health's streaming guide has you covered

WE’VE REACHED THE height of winter, which means most of us are spending multiple nights per week tucked under a blanket on the couch catching up on the latest hit series and films. The good news is that living in the golden age of streaming means there’s plenty to watch while we hibernate through winter. New content is hitting us from every direction, and in July, you can expect more of the same.

The long awaited Happy Gilmore sequel is July’s headlining act, coming to Netflix on July 26th. Box office hits Nosferatu and Sinners will also make their streaming debuts in July, on Netflix and Max, respectively. It’s a lean month for new series, but The Institute on Stan and Acapulco season four on Apple TV+ should be more than enough for that itch, should you choose to scratch it.

With so much new content on offer, choosing what to spend your time watching is the hardest part. The big hitters like Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime and Max are so packed with must-watch films and shows that it can be difficult to discern what’s worth your time and what’s best left on the back burner – especially when you’re prone to indecision and are paying for the luxury of choice with subscriptions to multiple platforms.

Not to worry, though, Men’s Health has you covered. To help you avoid scrolling the night away, we’ve rounded up all the very best films and shows coming to streaming platforms, so you know what to stream in July 2025.

What’s new on Netflix Australia, July 2025

July Netflix Highlight – Happy Gilmore 2

Almost 30 years since the release of the original, Happy Gilmore is returning to the big screen for a sequel. Most of the main cast is back, including the all-important Adam Sandler (obviously), Julie Bowen, Ben stiller and Christopher McDonald – could Shooter McGavin finally get his revenge? Sandler’s own daughter is also slated to appear, alongside Margaret Qualley and Bad Bunny, who plays a lowly caddy. We doubt it can top the original, but expect plenty of callbacks.

Also coming to Netflix in July is Nosferatu, arguably the best horror movie to come out of 2024, and Untamed, a murder mystery set in Yosemite National Park that stars a pair of Antipodean talents in Eric Bana and Sam Neill.

What’s new on Amazon Prime Video Australia, July 2025

July Amazon Prime Video Highlight – Heads of State

In Heads of State, Idris Elba and John Cena play the Prime Minister of the UK and President of the USA (Elba is the UK’s leader, Cena is the USA’s, in case that wasn’t clear). We know what you’re thinking: aren’t these guys a little buffer than your average world leader? They are, but that’s the point. This isn’t a political drama, it’s an action thriller. Cena’s President is a former action movie star and Elba’s PM is an ex-SAS commando, naturally. Those backgrounds will come in handy when the pair become the targets of a fearsome adversary bent on global domination.
