AS WE APPROACH the end of the year, the quality of new content coming to streaming services is only improving. With the Emmys officially over, television has a clean slate and next year’s prestige offerings are slowly releasing. As for films, the year’s fourth quarter is when the big awards contenders start trickling out, so as to be fresh in the minds of critics when awards season comes around early next year.
But with so much new content on offer, choosing what to spend your time watching is the hardest part. The big hitters like Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime and HBO Max are so packed with must-watch films and shows that it can be difficult to discern what’s worth your time and what’s best left on the back burner – especially when you’re prone to indecision and are paying for the luxury of choice with subscriptions to multiple platforms.
Not to worry, though, Men’s Health has you covered. To help you avoid scrolling the night away, we’ve rounded up all the very best films and shows coming to streaming platforms, so you know what to stream in November 2025.

November Netflix Highlight – Stranger Things 5: Volume 1
The fifth and final season of Stranger Things has, by far, the series’ strangest release schedule. The first four episodes will release on November 27. Three more come out on Christmas. And the finale premieres on New Year’s Eve. The jury’s still out on how that experimental rollout will land, but the show itself should be somewhat familiar. We last left the residents of Hawkins, Indiana, in quite a spot of bother. A portal to the Upside Down had just opened up above the town, with all sorts of unsavoury monsters emerging from within. Vecna is also still out there, somewhere, so he will likely be back as our protagonists fight to defeat evil for one last time.
Also coming to Netflix in November is Last Samurai Standing, which is essentially The Hunger Games and Squid Game in Meiji-era Japan. Set in 1878, it follows 292 Samurai who enter a battle royale to win a 100 billion yen prize. Mind you, the real-life Samurai were mostly extinct by that point in history. Saigō Takamori, often considered the last Samurai, was killed in 1877 after the Satsuma rebellion. So while this new show does look interesting, it’s not exactly historically accurate. Yes, I am fun at parties. How did you know?
One more thing: Guillermo Del Toro’s Frankenstein, which is in cinemas now, will make its way to Netflix on November 7th. Oscar Isaac, Mia Goth and Jacob Elordi make up the main cast, and with Del Toro at the helm, you can expect an eclectic and heavily stylised retelling of the original classic.

November Disney+ Highlight – The Fantastic Four: First Steps
The latest entry in the MCU, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, makes its streaming debut in November. The film introduces a new (but well known) team of superheroes who look like they’ll blend right in with the wider cast of Marvel characters. F4 is a solid step in the right direction for Marvel, after a string of costly misses. Our one complaint: why on earth does this premiere on November 5th instead of the 4th?

November Amazon Prime Video Highlight – Playdate
Playdate should help tide over those of us desperate for some more Alan Ritchson inbetween seasons of Reacher. In this new film, Ritchson plays a regular (albeit absurdly beefy) stay-at-home dad, who’s hanging out with an accountant played by Kevin James and their respective kids. In a not so surprising twist, Ritchson is actually a super-spy who will need to evade a horde of mercenaries once his cover is blown.

What’s new on Apple TV+, October 2025
November Apple TV+ Highlight – The Family Plan 2
The Family Plan was a film we never expected to get a sequel but here we are. Mark Wahlberg returns as family man and used car salesman Dan, who has a shady past as an assassin. This time, we’re working with a Christmas theme as Dan plans the perfect holiday season trip for his family. The downside is that his past has once again come back to haunt him, as a new villain played by Kit Harrington emerges. Then, it’s a classic international game of cat-and-mouse as Dan and his family make their way across Europe amid a series of bank heists, car chases and boss battles.
