WE’VE EMERGED FROM the depths of winter and the weather is starting to warm up, but that doesn’t make the idea of an evening spent curled up on the couch watching your favourite new series any less appealing. The good news is that living in the golden age of streaming means there’s always plenty to watch, and in September, you can expect more of the same.
New episodes of Peacemaker season two and Chief of War are still arriving weekly, while the second half of Wednesday season two will make its way to Netflix early in the month. For returning series, Morning Wars, Slow Horses and Only Murders in the Building are all premiering new seasons. As for fresh content, Task, Chad Powers and Black Rabbit are all sure to entice.
But with so much on offer, choosing what to spend your time watching is the hardest part. September Netflix Highlight – Wednesday, season 2 part 2
In season two of Wednesday, Jenna Ortega’s eponymous character is reeling from all the extra friendliness and positive attention she’s been getting since reluctantly saving her school in season one. Now she’s honing her psychic abilities and attempting to solve a mysterious killing spree. Season two part two drops on September 3.
It’s also worth checking out Black Rabbit, a new limited series starring Jude Law and Jason Bateman as very different siblings in a crime drama. Law is the responsible brother, scrambling to keep his business alive. Bateman’s bro is more chaotic, and is perhaps the reason the business could come crashing down.

Emmy award-winning mystery-comedy Only Murders in the Building is reuniting Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez for a fifth season where they’ll investigate the suspicious death of their doorman, Lester. The new season’s star-studded guest cast includes Renée Zellweger, Christoph Waltz, Logan Lerman and Keegan-Michael Key.

September Apple TV+ Highlight – Highest 2 Lowest
September is a HUGE month on Apple TV+, and we don’t say that lightly. Firstly, there’s still new episodes of Jason Momoa’s Chief of War releasing weekly. Then, Spike Lee’s latest joint, Highest 2 Lowest, premieres on September 5. It’s a remake of Akira Kurosawa’s 1963 classic, High and Low, and stars Denzel Washington as a powerful music mogul whose son is kidnapped in a ransom plot. A$AP Rocky and Ice Spice are also slated to appear. Make of that what you will.
