The 5 Best Foods For Preventing Erectile Dysfunction

The pain of erectile dysfunction is a pain like no other: you want nothing more but to get it up and make love to beautiful naked woman in front of you – but it just won’t budge.

If this sounds like a regular occurrence, you don’t have to go it alone: the Cleveland Clinic reports that 40 per cent of men will experience some form of erectile dysfunction before the age of 40.

While there are make-shift ways to strengthen your erection (such as Viagra or surgery), the fastest way to improve your penis’ performance and keep it that way is to improve your diet and lifestyle.

So knowing just how big of an impact what you put in your mouth has on the quality of the strength of your member, these are the five foods you should be stocking up on next time you hit the supermarket.

1\ Red Wine

A study published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found regularly drinking red wine and consumed three servings of foods high in flavonoids (blueberries, cherries, blackberries) were 19 per cent less likely to experience erectile dysfunction.

2\ Pistachios

New research published in the International Journal of Impotence Research have found men who consumed 100g of pistachio nuts every day for three weeks experienced stronger erections, higher libidos, increased sexual satisfaction and were more likely to orgasm during intercourse.

3\ Dark Chocolate

Dark chocolate works wonders for improving circulation, which in turn will boost your erections. But just how much should you eat? A study out of the University of California found those who ate 45 grams of dark chocolate per day increased their blood-vessel dilation by upwards of 10 per cent.

4\ Coffee

It’s the news coffee lovers have been waiting for: a study from the University of Texas found that consuming 2-3 cups of coffee per day will reduce your likelihood of developing erectile dysfunction. Caffeine has properties similar to Viagra, and when consumed causes the arteries in your penis to relax and your blood flow to increase.

5\ Cherries

Research out of the University of East Anglia and Harvard University found cherries to be the most effective food at deflecting problems that led to getting or maintaining an erection. The study of 50,000 middle-aged men found those who ate more than 3.7 servings of fruit per day were least likely to suffer from ED.
