It seems weights on the gym floor aren’t the only things banging.

A study of 2000 adults by sex toy company Ann Summers found that 25 per cent of regular gym-goers have pumped more than just iron in their time: they’ve also had at least one sexual encounter with a fellow fitness fan somewhere on site.

What’s more, 47 per cent of those who admitted to an episode of carnal cardio were women.

If you want to try your luck, be sure to work out near the cross-trainer: 45 per cent of women reported it as their favourite machine for seducing men on account of how toned and sexy it made their butt look.

No word on whether your walrus grunts when going for that bench-press PB are considered attractive.
