‘I Lost 8kg in 8 Weeks By Giving My Diet A Complete Overhaul’

The new dad was looking to lose weight and spend time with his baby.

Adrian, 32, is a new parent who was looking to lose weight and spend time with his baby. After seeing pictures of himself at his mate’s wedding, he decided it was time for a change. Already a lover of training and sport, he turned his focus to diet, opting for My Muscle Chef to deliver his meals. This is his story.

My lifestyle was pretty much one of a working dad trying to just survive getting food when I could get it. I wouldn’t say I ate really bad but it was the snacking and consuming of so much food, and my idea was to train it off. That didn’t work, and so slowly and gradually I have gotten bigger. I am an outdoor guy, I love sport and training. And my profession is very physically demanding.

My eating habits are all over the place. I went vegan for a while I tried different diets calorie counting apps, but every time it would end up with me giving up. Then the ‘see food and eat it diet’ would start…

I chose to do the My Muscle Chef 8-week weight loss program because of two reasons:

1. I saw a picture of myself as the best man at my mate’s wedding and thought ‘who the hell is that guy?’.

2. It was something where I wasn’t guessing, the MYMC challenge meant I had it all planned out for me.

Being a dad the meals were great. I had 3 meals a day plus 3 snacks they were spread out over the day evenly so I would get hungry and look for more food. The exercise was tough as I had a newborn but a lot of the time, I would just walk my baby boy. With the occasional game of oztag thrown in.

The results were pretty quick I started to notice my weight drop straight away, all up I lost 8 kilos and it took 8 weeks. The cool thing was fitting back into pants that I hadn’t seen in two years!

I feel really good now. I know I can lose the weight, but also understand more about my body and training. I believe losing weight is 90% what you eat and 10% training. I feel fresh.
