Kevin Hart — actor, comedian, and possibly the fastest man alive — is getting into the online fitness game.
The Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle star recently announced a March 8 premiere date for What The Fit, a weekly workout web series that will pair Hart and a famous friend up with some oddball form of getting fit. Some early examples are sumo wrestling with Conan O’Brien, taking Chance the Rapper to beer yoga , and putting Joel McHale in the ring with boxing legend Evander Holyfield.
“Fitness is about to get a whole lot funnier and I can’t wait for fans to see a side of me and my friends they haven’t seen before,” Hart said in a press release. “I’m always looking to switch things up. Everybody thinks that fitness is tough and because of that some people won’t even give it a chance. I wanted to show the fun side of fitness.”
Since breaking out into superstardom in 2009 with the special I’m A Grown Little Man, Hart has been known for his jokes. But it’s only in the past couple of years — and after a few films across from Earth’s most recognisable large man, The Rock — that he’s shown his fitness-obsessed side.
These days, the Philly-born comedian is just as likely to show off a set in the gym than a set from the stage. He even ran the New York City Marathon in November.
What The Fit will premiere on Youtube’s Laugh Out Loud Network, the channel Hart and Lionsgate launched last August. The series will air alongside Cold As Balls, an interview series in which Hart chats with even more of his celebrity friends from the discomfort of an ice bath.
Lavar Ball joined Hart in Cold‘s debut, and like most things involving Lavar Ball, there was much screaming and nonsense.
