Watch The Mountain Warm Up With 272-Kilogram Squats

Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, otherwise known as ‘The Mountain’ from Game of Thrones, has featured in the top-three of the world’s strongest men for the past five years.

He doesn’t do things by halves. Don’t believe us? Check out this video of what The Mountain puts in his post-workout shakes. Believe us yet?

With the 2017 competition only a few weeks awayBjörnsson has been putting in the hard-yards in the weights room. Check out this video he posted to Instagram of him squatting a measly 272-kilograms like it’s nothing.

He didn’t even break a sweat and looks like he could’ve pumped out another 5 reps. But we figure he doesn’t want to give all his training secrets away before the competition. If that wasn’t enough, the very next day he posted a follow up video of an equally impressive bench press… at 200 kilograms.

We wouldn’t want to be this guy’s opponents.

Why I Run: Trent Knox

In 2016, Trent Knox founded the 440 Run Club, a group who meet each Saturday morning at 5am at Sydney’s Bronte beach. While the club has been pivotal in Knox’s sobriety journey, this year he began training for events like the Sydney Marathon and fell in love with running all over again
