Thought blondes had it easy? Think again. Redheads have the most sex, confirms a new study.
Reports from the Hamburg Research Institute in Germany surveyed hundreds of women to find a correlation between hair colour and sex lives. According to Everyday Health, the study found that women with red hair had much more active sex lives.
“The sex lives of women with red hair were clearly more active than those with other hair colour, with more partners and having sex more often than the average. The research shows that the fiery redhead certainly lives up to her reputation,” says lead researcher, Dr Werener Mabermehl.

Further, those who died their hair ginger signaled they are looking for a new partner.
“Even women in a fixed relationship are letting their partners know they are unhappy if they dye their hair red. They are saying that they are looking for something better.”
Red hair is also unique, eye-catching and an “indicator of youth and fertility”, says Dr Scott Barry Kaufman in Psychology Today – another reason why it has become so desirable.
