Ryan Reynolds Dons Pink Deadpool Suit to Say ‘F*ck Cancer’

Actor and all-around nice dude Ryan Reynolds is once again using his platform as the world’s most R-rated superhero to deliver A+ boner jokes in support of a fantastic cause.

Twentieth Century Fox has partnered with the online giving platform Omaze to raise funds for the F*ck Cancer initiative. Reynolds has done his part by releasing a Deadpool-centric video to raise awareness and get the word out about the hero’s new favorite color. “Pink. The color, not the pop singer,” Reynolds quips. “Personally I’m more of a Celine kind of guy.”

“It’s pink and helps an awesome cause kick cancer’s butt just like Deadpool does,” the campaign site reads. “Whether you want to rock it at the grocery store (please do that!), wear it to your wedding (please don’t do that!) or give it to a friend, this exclusive piece of film history is all yours.”

F*ck Cancer is a non-profit dedicated to providing early detection and support for those diagnosed with the disease. It’s a crucial cause, as awareness of the early signs of cancer is one the first step toward fighting it.

This isn’t the first time Reynolds has used the Deadpool character — who himself is a cancer survivor — to support those battling illness. Last February, the actor partnered with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Children’s Wish to invite kids with cancer to the set of Deadpool 2.

“Deadpool kicked cancer in the taint,” Reynolds wrote at the time, “but these kids do it for real every day.”
