The Worlds Most Popular Safe Words Revealed

Valentine’s Day is around the corner and with it comes the annual release of another Fifty Shades movie, inspiring rougher sex among couples all over the world. And as any couple ready to explore BDSM knows, as ‘safe word’ is vital to keeping the play in check.

“Safe words” are usually agreed upon by couples when engaging in BDSM, as they allow the submissive party to call a stop to the action should things get too rough. Having an irrelevant and random word as your safe words means that everyone can scream “no” and “stop” as much as they want, and it’s not until the agreed safe word is mentioned that things calm down.

Experts in sex toys and rough sex, Lovehoney, who have their own Fifty Shades Freed: Official Pleasure Collection to coincide with Fifty-Shades-Mania, have just released survey data of the worlds most popular safe words, and some of them are quite the mood killer.

The worldwide survey covers over 3,000 of their customers, and unveiled some hilarious trends. Did your safe word make the list? If not, perhaps you can find inspiration below.
