This couldn’t have been any more perfect even if it was scripted. A polite Uber driver from Sydney mistakenly picked up a sex worker on the side of the road who he believed was a customer named ‘Chelsea’.
Doing the rounds on a normal Thursday night shift, Daniel Moore from inner Sydney pulled over to the side of the road to pick up someone for what seemed to be a routine trip.
It was only moments into the trip when things started to go pear-shaped. Watch how the hilarity unfolded in the video below.
“It was really weird it wasn’t Chelsea,” Moore told 7 News.
“She waved me down in the exact spot my GPS was showing me.”
After picking up the woman, it was only after a few routine questions that Moore realised something was wrong.
“How are you?”, he asks. “Working trying to make some money,” she responds.
“What do you do for a living?”, he asks. “I’m a sex worker. Do you want to have sex?”, she responds. Moore politely refuses the woman’s offer saying his “girlfriend wouldn’t like that too much,” and proceeds to let her out of the car.
However it’s what happens next which totally makes this story. Moore receives a call from the real Chelsea asking if he was nearby and coming to pick her up. Talk about a case of mistaken identity!
