What to stream in June 2025: Netflix, Disney+, Max, Amazon Prime + more

Can't decide what to watch in June? Don't stress, and stop wasting your time scrolling because Men's Health's June streaming guide has got you covered

WE’RE ENTERING peak streaming season as winter beckons, meaning it’s as good a time as any to review your subscriptions. The arrival of Max in Australia has shaken up the streaming landscape, forcing a re-evaluation of which of our subscriptions are worth it and which we should probably cancel. But at the same time, with Andor, The White Lotus and The Last Of Us all wrapping up their new seasons, there’s a distinct gap in the market for a new zeitgeist-shifting series. As such, the competition for eyeballs is heating up.

Squid Game season three is June’s headlining act, coming to Netflix on June 27th. One day earlier, the fourth season of The Bear will arrive on Disney+. As for new series, Stick looks most promising. It’s an Apple TV+ sports comedy in a similar vein as Ted Lasso, except it’s about golf and stars Owen Wilson. And make sure you catch Nicholas Cage’s new psychological thriller The Surfer on Stan from June 15th.

With so much new content on offer, choosing what to spend your time watching is the hardest part. The big hitters like Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime and now Max are so packed with must-watch films and shows that it can be difficult to discern what’s worth your time and what’s best left on the back burner – especially when you’re prone to indecision and are paying for the luxury of choice with subscriptions to multiple platforms.

Not to worry, though, Men’s Health has you covered. To help you avoid scrolling the night away, we’ve rounded up all the very best films and shows coming to streaming platforms, so you know what to stream in June 2025.

What’s new on Netflix Australia, June 2025

June Netflix Highlight – Squid Game, season 3

Squid Game followed up the barnstorming success of its first season with a second season that was considered disappointing by consensus. Fans will be hoping the third season can bring back some of the magic and provide a satisfying ending to the series – but given its famously cynical social messaging, we doubt there’ll be a happy ending.

Also coming to Netflix in June is one of the biggest films of 2024, Wicked. Starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, the film brings the iconic musical of the same name to the big screen. And if you’re in the mood for a mystery, check out The Survivors on June 6th. It’s a new Australian series that follows a young Tasmanian couple who are drawn into a murder mystery in a sleepy seaside town.

If the NBA playoffs have sparked a hunger for more basketball content, look no further than Power Moves with Shaquille O’Neal. The docuseries promises an all-access look at O’Neal’s latest and boldest endeavour: stepping into the role of President of Reebok Basketball and leading the brand’s comeback alongside Vice President and fellow NBA legend Allen Iverson.

The narrative follows two investigators: Lieutenant Magaly Castillo, a U.S. military officer, and Sergeant Lucía Gutiérrez of the Spanish Civil Guard. As they delve into a series of perplexing incidents – including a local man’s ritualistic suicide and the disappearance of American airmen.
