EVEN AT 82, Sir Mick Jagger still commands the stage with the same energy that defined The Rolling Stones in the ’60s. That kind of longevity doesn’t happen by accident. Jagger has spent decades prioritising his health and fitness – and the results speak for themselves.
‘He works out almost daily, combining various sports disciplines, follows a diet akin to a high-performance athlete, and practises meditation. We cannot deny that Mick Jagger has enviable genetics, but his true elixir of eternal youth is the discipline and willpower he applies to everything he does — especially when looking after his body and mind. It’s not a pact with the devil; it’s a pact with himself,’ she told Hello!.
‘My interest in Mick Jagger’s healthy routine arose when he turned 80. It seemed like a brilliant idea to use a rock star like Jagger, known across the globe, to show that it’s never too late to start looking after yourself.’
Jagger has trained with Norwegian coach Torje Eike for many years, folding a wide mix of activities into his routine to keep things both effective and engaging. He swims, kickboxes, cycles, practises ballet to improve balance, and works on mobility through yoga and Pilates. It’s a packed schedule – he trains up to six days a week – but he’s not pushing to the limit every session. For him, consistency beats intensity.
