The Rock and Vin Diesel: two monumental badasses in their own right. But it turns out theres not enough room in this town for the both of them.
With the eighth instalment of the Fast franchise, Fate of the Furious, set to be released on April 14, there’s one little problem: they’re having a tough time promoting the movie because the two can’t stand to be around each other.
The two have been feuding ever since The Rock threw shade at Vin Diesel via a subliminal video on Facebook a few months ago, and according to The Hollywood Reporter, the pair are still being kept apart on set. Here’s the video to jumpstart your memory:
Many believe the rag doll in the video was supposed to be Diesel. This is what The Rock had to say about certain male co-stars:
“My female co-stars are always amazing and I love ’em. My male co-stars however are a different story. Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don’t. The ones that don’t are too chicken shit to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses. When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I’m not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling – you’re right.“
Universal Studios is trying to play down the whole situation, but when you have two global superstars of this calibre feuding, there’s only so much you can do to keep it under wraps.
