Timothee Chalamet Is The Most Influential Male Star In Fashion

Actor Timothee Chalamet has been named the most influential man in fashion, according to Lyst’s Year in Fashion index

The annual report tallies up search, social media and news to identify the trending designers, brands and fashionable stars for each year.

While Chalamet was the highest-ranking male, it was newly crowned royal Megan Markle who pipped him to most influential celebrity. Zendaya, Billie Eilish, Cardi B, Kylie Jenner, Thai Rapper Lisa, Lizzo, Billy Porter, and Harry Styles rounded out the top 10.

Chalamet has been known to test the boundaries on the red carpet with his more out-there looks. Most interestingly, however, the 23-year-old doesn’t have a stylist and instead comes up with his own looks.

Some of the kits he’s thrown on has seen a spike in searchers for that product, boosting his rank on Lyst’s Fashion index. A sequinned hoodie from Louis Vuitton to the premiere of The King saw a 192 per cent increase in searches following his appearance.

Similarly, the designer of the outfits he wore to Venice Film Festival received an 806 per cent increase in traffic.

Here are some of the outfits he’s come up with in the past.
