When done as a superset, the incline bench press and the deadlift may have a bigger impact on how your body looks than any other combination of exercises, says Men’s Health Fitness Director B.J. Gaddour.

That’s because the two movements help you build the coveted V-shaped torso: a powerful chest, broad shoulders, a jacked back, and a small waist.

Perform them as a 20-minute workout that will make you look like you spend hours in the gym.

How to Do the Aesthetics Superset

Set a timer to go off every four minutes.

Perform 8 to 12 reps of the dumbbell incline bench press, then perform 3 to 5 reps of the barbell deadlift. Rest until the timer goes off.

That’s 1 round. Do 5 rounds.

For a more metabolic workout, choose lighter weights and set your timer to go off every two or three minutes
