After one Reddit user shared his experience with the fruit, describing the harrowing incident in full, another commenter was liken the use of a banana to oral sex.
“I have been doing it for years and it’s great. It’s the closest thing there is to a blow job, trust me I’ve had hundreds of them,” he commented.
But the original post suggests the outcome is far more uncomfortable.
“It’s not anywhere near as rewarding as you may think. I used a banana peel to jerk off, slipped and fell in the mess I made, hit my head on the toilet and barely lived to tell the tale,” he wrote. “Don’t jerk off with a banana peel.”
Medical professionals were quick to warn users against the masturbation hack, suggesting you could put your penis at serious risk.
Dr. Diana Gill of prescription service Doctor-4-U suggests this is a practice best kept to cinema.
“You could develop a rash and sores on the penis which can be painful and might lead to infection,” Gill told the Sun.
“A person with a banana allergy is more likely to be allergic to other substances such as latex or other fruits and vegetables,” she continued. “So if you’re allergic to latex condoms you may also be allergic to banana skins.”
Hopefully you didn’t need another reason to leave bananas out of your masturbation routine, but hopefully this got it over the line.
