Jack Black Tried Chris Hemsworth’s Thor Workout In New Avengers Audition

In order to look like the God of Thunder, you have to train like The God of Thunder. So when Jack Black tried his luck at a Chris-Hemsworth-approved workout, many would have expected the School of Rock actor to fall at the first hurdle. However, the comedian surprised all of us with his efforts to keep up with the MH Cover Star.

Taking to Instagram, the 49-year-old, who recently launched a YouTube channel, shared footage of him mirroring Hemsworth’s own insta-workout. He even geo-tagged the location as “Asgard” while copying the caption from the original post: “Mixing it up. Get creative. Keep moving. Variety is key!.” Black then called out Hemsworth, asking: “Who did it better?”

Hemsworth, being the good man that he is, responded: “haha you legend.” Later, he reposted the video to his own account, with the caption: “the student has become the master.”

It’s pretty good timing for Hemsworth who recently launched his own fitness app: Centr, in a bid to inspire and assist others to live a healthy lifestyle in their own time.

“The whole thing was about not becoming stagnant,” Hemsworth told us in the March issue of Men’s Health.

“That’s when your emotional and physical problems occur, I think. I wanted to create some-thing that embodied the three main elements of healthy living—the movement, the nutrition, and the mindfulness—and present it in a way that’s entertaining, functional, and also accessible.”
