What happens when you pit the 2017 Nutri-Grain Ironman Champion against a 4 time CrossFit Games athlete in the ultimate battle of the fittest? One hell of challenge!

The 2019 Men’s Health Challenge puts two of Australia’s fiercest competitors head-to-head in a 6 week training block. The athletes provide the workouts, and will battle it out in an epic deciding workout before one will be crowned winner.

Our first challenge will follow the fitness and training programs of two very different, professional athletes; Ironman Matt Poole and CrossFit champ Khan Porter.

In week one of the Challenge, Poole delivers a solid two-part workout, focusing on full body strength and stabilisation. Follow along at home and stay tuned for Khan’s first week retaliation. 

PART A

Complete 4 rounds with 90 seconds rest 

16 x Kettlebell Overhead Bulgarian Squats

(8 each side)

16 x Band Resisted Ski Rows

(8 each side)

12 Hanging Leg Raises

PART B

Complete 3 rounds with 90 seconds rest

24 x Dumbbell external rotators

(12 each arm)

6 x Push-Up Walkouts
