The secret to great sex is all in good spelling — or at least, that’s the thinking behind the sex advice which recently went viral. Referring specifically to encounters where the woman is on top, the hot tip is that she should try to spell “coconut” using her hips to drive the male partner wild.

The coconut move, which originated as advice among Kenyan women, first blew up in the Kilimani Mums Udaku Zone (KMUZ) Facebook group. It has since sparked a meme of people trying to spell coconut with their hips, including some hilarious instances where the end result isn’t as sexy as it sounds.

Just remember not to gyrate too forcefully, or you’ll risk causing a penile fracture!

Other times it just threw off the rhythm completely.

And some ladies suggested that it should be the guy spelling coconut.

Look, it makes a certain amount of sense to break up the usual rhythm and throw a little surprise your partner’s way. But if you’re on the receiving end of penetrative sex, the coconut isn’t always a mutually pleasurable move. “Spelling out words and twisting around like that, when you’re a bottom, can make things way less comfortable,” said one gay man. “What I really want is for you to get up in there!”

Others, meanwhile, challenged people to widen their vocabulary in the bedroom. “Coconut is only a few letters. You need to be spelling whole sentences,” porn actor Beaux Banks told Out. “If seven letters is enough for you, you must be doing something right, I guess.”
