AS OCTOBER WRAPS up and the holiday season appears within view, this time of year can feel like a real slog. The work segment of your work/life balance might be feeling like it’s getting all the attention, as you tough it out for just a few more months. A consequence of this sentiment is that it makes how you spend your time off all the more important. Some might take the opportunity to get out into nature, or take advantage of the warmer weather to head to the beach. Personally, we’ll be spending it thoroughly engrossed in the latest hit series and films coming to streaming platforms in November. We advise you to do the same.
We’re in for a big month of streaming content. On Apple TV+, the highly anticipated World War II drama Blitz, which is tipped to win Oscars, will premiere on November 22nd. On Binge, Dune: Prophecy will continue Denis Villeneuve’s blockbuster Dune franchise – while Dune: Part Two will make its streaming debut on Netflix. Of course, we also can’t look past the fact that Jake Paul will finally face off against Mike Tyson in a boxing match, and it’ll all be streamed on Netflix.
As usual, choosing what to watch is the hardest part. The big hitters like Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon Prime are so packed with must-watch films and shows that it can be difficult to discern what’s worth your time and what’s best left on the backburner – especially when you’re prone to indecision and are paying for the luxury of choice with subscriptions to multiple platforms.
Not to worry though, Men’s Health has you covered. To help you avoid being paralysed with indecision during a dreaded doomscroll, we’ve rounded up all the very best films and shows coming to streaming platforms in November 2024.

November Netflix Highlight – Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson (Live Event)
Netflix always goes big at this time of year, and the streamer’s release schedule for November is holding to form. At the top of the billing is the long-awaited bout between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson, which will be streaming live. Barring any further injuries, back-outs or last-minute excuses, that fight will take place on November 16th.
Also on Netflix in November, the second half of Outer Banks‘ fourth season will premiere on November 7th. Cobra Kai‘s sixth season will also get a part two on November 15th, for some family-friendly viewing. The Piano Lesson, which is set in 1936 Pittsburgh during the aftermath of the Great Depression and follows the Charles family, who come to blows over differing opinions on what should be done about a family heirloom, an ornate piano with designs carved by an enslaved ancestor, will also premiere. Although the film may struggle to beat the nepo baby allegations, with Denzel Washington set to produce, his son Malcolm to make his directorial debut, and other son John David to star. Finally, Dune: Part Two will make its streaming debut on November 29th – and if you don’t know why that film is worth watching, we suggest you crawl out from underneath that rock you’ve been living under.

What’s new on Disney+ Australia, November 2024
November Disney+ Highlight – Say Nothing
November looks like it will be a quieter month over on Disney+, but only in terms of the quantity of new content – as usual, the quality is sublime. Say Nothing is the headliner. It’s a drama series based on a non-fiction chronicle of the same name and details Northern Ireland’s IRA movement amid the troubles. Beginning with the disappearance of a single mother, Say Nothing expands into a broader examination of the secrets of an extraordinarily violent period. We recently sped through the book, and it certainly appears ripe for dramatisation.
Elsewhere on Disney+, Music by John Williams is a new documentary about its eponymous legendary composer. If the name John Williams doesn’t mean anything to you, there’s a strong chance you’ve still heard his work. Williams composed the scores of the Star Wars, Harry Potter and Indiana Jones movies, as well as Jaws, Jurassic Park, Schindler’s List, Saving Private Ryan, Home Alone, E.T. and the original Superman.
Another standout is Interior Chinatown, where Jimmy Yang stars as an extra in a crime procedural before witnessing a crime that places him at the centre of the action. There’s also a new documentary on the Beatles first visit to the United States, titled Beatles ’64.

We do know when some of Binge’s headliners will be premiering in November though, with Dune: Prophecy leading the pack. A prequel to Denis Villenueve’s wildly successful Dune duology, Dune: Prophecy focuses on the origins of the Bene Gesserit religious sisterhood. Aussie Travis Fimmel is set to feature as the presumptive antagonist Desmond Hart, who is described as “a charismatic soldier with an enigmatic past, who seeks to gain the Emperor’s trust at the expense of the sisterhood.”
Also on Binge, The Day of the Jackal will premiere on November 7th. It’s a reimagination of the classic novel of the same name in a contemporary political setting and stars Eddie Redmayne as the titular Jackal, a highly skilled and merciless assassin who is being hunted down by a British intelligence officer played by Lashana Lynch.

What’s new on Apple TV+, November 2024
November Apple TV+ Highlight – Blitz
It’s been 11 years since 12 Years a Slave won the Oscar for Best Picture, and in that time, director Steve McQueen has only helmed one other feature film. That streak is about to end with Blitz. Set in London during the ‘blitz’ bombing campaign of World War II, Blitz centres on a nine-year-old boy who is evacuated to the countryside, only to find himself in peril after returning to London in an attempt to find his way home. Keep an eye on this one, as its tipped to pick up plenty of accolades. It could also net Saoirse Ronan, who plays the boy’s distraught mother who searches for him as the bombs fall, her first Oscar.
