Tristan Thompson Cheating On Khloé Is Unfortunately Very Common

If you’ve interneted in the last 24 hours, you would have no doubt seen or heard that NBA player Tristan Thompson has been caught out cheating on his 9 months pregnant partner, Khloé Kardashian.

In two grainy videos, the Cav’s star can be seen kissing, motor boating, and getting extremely handsy with two non-Kardashians, all while his long term partner was at home in Cleveland, minutes away from ushering in the latest heir to the Kardashian fortune.

While we don’t know the full details of their relationship (hey, they may be on a break… who knows), things don’t look good for poor Khloé, especially since she was only sharing couple photos on Instagram earlier this week. However, it seems that this unfaithful behaviour is not entirely uncommon among men. In fact, this is the second time Mr Thompson has been with other women whilst a partner is carrying his baby.

According to the psychologist Robert Rodriguez, and his book What’s Your Pregnant Man Thinking?, around 10 per cent of expectant fathers cheat on their partners at some stage during the pregnancy. In the book, Rodriguez puts this down to a perception that their ‘fun lives’ are going to disappear as a result of fatherhood, with the pressures of responsibility also proving too great.

However, New York based pregnancy and pre-pregnancy therapist Dr. Shira Danzig suggests that perhaps the reasons for infidelity are more sexually motivated.

“You can be absolutely struggling with your sex life when a woman is pregnant. First of all it’s complicated, it’s hard physically, the larger you are, the harder it is to have intercourse. But some women have a higher sex drive and some men think ‘I don’t want to hurt the baby’…There are a lot of factors that can impact your sex life when a woman is pregnant,” Danzig told Personal Space.
