Which Pixel phone is better?
This is always very subjective as it depends on what is right for you. There are lots of options to weigh up and that will most likely come down to the size of the device and possibly how long it will last you through the day in terms of battery life.
Both phones have the same main features when it comes to camera and the internals – so they will be fast when you’re using them. They also run on ‘Pure Android’ (as Google intended their operating system to work) so they’ll be very responsive.
What’s inside the box?
Along with the Pixel 3, you’ll get a headphone adapter (there’s no headphone jack), USB-A to USB-C adapter, USB-C to 3.5mm adapter, USB-C earbuds and the power brick to charge the device. We’re told this is a fast charger too, which comes included as standard, unlike Apple’s latest devices.
What are the new features?
Top Shot is a feature that captures the perfect shot each time, according to Google. It’ll capture smiles (not blinks) and Group Selfie Cam that will get everyone in the shot without the need for a selfie stick.
Active Edge is back again this year, like in the previous generation Pixel 2. You simply squeeze the Pixel 3 for the Google Assistant, or you can also use it activate Google Lens.
There are also ways in which Google help you to disconnect from the world with a feature called Flip to Shhh, as part of their Digital Wellbeing initiative, by simply flipping over the Pixel 3 so that it’s face down to automatically turn off notifications.
Wireless charging is also supported in both phones, for the first time in Pixel devices. Google will be selling the Pixel Stand wireless charger separately.

What is the price of the new Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL?
You can get your hands on the Pixel 3 64GB for $1,199 or the 128GB for $1,349.
Meanwhile the Pixel 3 XL 64 GB is $1,349 and $1,499 for the 128 GB version.
Where and when can I buy the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL?
You can get your hands on the Pixel 3 from November 1st, from all the major telcos and Harvey Norman.
